What Are

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are thin covers/shells made from porcelain that are fitted to the front surface of your teeth. Unlike a dental crown that covers the entirety of the tooth, a dental veneer covers just the visible front part of the tooth which reduces the requirement for tooth alterations, keeping as much of the natural tooth as possible. A porcelain dental veneer is custom-made to fit perfectly and blend in seamlessly with the teeth around it.

The Benefits Of Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are a versatile procedure that has some considerable benefits over many alternative procedures:

Versatility

Dental veneers can be used in a variety of different ways to transform unsightly, or imperfect teeth. Commonly used for stains, chipped teeth, tooth discolouration, and for small gaps between teeth.

Minimal Impact

Unlike other procedures that are either very invasive or require considerable tooth alteration to perform – dental veneers are very low impact, oftentimes requiring very little alterations to the original tooth.

Stain Free

As dental veneers are built from porcelain, they’re stain resistant, prohibiting them from discolouration from coffee, tea, tobacco, red wine, etc.

Durable

Porcelain veneers are strong, durable and built to last.

Colour Match

Our dental veneers are all custom-made using the latest technology inside our digital lab, enabling us to get exact-match colouration, to blend in seamlessly with the teeth around it.

Natural Look & Feel

Our custom-built veneers are perfectly shaped to match the surrounding teeth, for a 100% natural look and feel.

Dental Veneers, And What To Expect

Before any procedure, we’ll arrange a consultation with Dr Ash ahead of time to carry out a thorough examination and discuss all the options available to you, with detailed cost breakdowns.

The dental veneer procedure itself has a number of benefits over many of the other cosmetic dental options available, but it’s important to know if it’s going to be the right fit for you.If you choose to move forward with a dental veneer procedure, here’s what to expect:

Firstly, we’ll create a customised treatment plan outlining exactly what’s involved.

From there we’ll proceed with our exact-match colour-picking system to get the perfect tone, and shade to match the surrounding teeth before we move onto the preparation stage.

Preparation usually involves removing a very small amount of the tooth’s front-facing enamel to create space for the veneer to sit. The amount removed is kept to an absolute minimum, usually much less than a single millimetre.

Now that the tooth is ready, we’ll take ultra-precise impressions that are sent to our in-house digital laboratory, ready for the veneers to be made to the exact specifications.

Once the veneers have been created, the final stage is to fix them in place.

Carefully, and with specialised adhesive, the ultra-thin veneers are bonded to the tooth, and the process is finished.
