If you have a missing tooth or teeth, or are suffering from the daily struggles of removable dentures, then dental implants may well be the right procedure for you.
Dental implants are prosthetic teeth – perfectly shaped and colour-toned to be indistinguishable from your natural teeth – that are surgically implanted into the jawbone. Over time, the implant forms an inseparable bond with the bone inside the jaw, creating a strong, stable anchor for your replacement teeth.
Dental implants aren’t the only procedure available for missing teeth, however, they do provide some stark advantages in many cases.
Dental implants (when done by an expert) are indistinguishable in both appearance and functionality from your natural teeth.
Before considering whether dental implants are the right solution for you, it’s important to consider the costs, and it is important to note also that dental implants aren’t the only option.
If you are looking to book an appointment with Dr Ash, you can rest assured that you’ll get a detailed, upfront breakdown of all costs, as well as specialist advice on other potential treatments.
The procedure will require sedatives to numb the implant area. This ensures that you won’t feel any pain or discomfort during the surgery.
*In some cases alternative sedation options may be available.

Once the local anaesthetic has taken effect, your specialist will then make a small incision in your gum to access the jawbone. A small hole is then drilled into the bone where the implant will be inserted.
The healing and recovery process will take roughly 6-8 weeks as the natural process of your jawbone fusing with the implant takes place.
Once the healing process is over, your revisit will be organised for the final stages whereby your artificial tooth will be custom-made to the exact colour and shape of your natural teeth, and attached to the implant fixing.
